Our Services and Support
Growing Occupational Therapy is located in Moonee Ponds, and offers clinic based, telehealth and mobile based services.

We pride ourselves on our ability to embrace neurodivergent minds, through both a lived-experience and strengths-based approach. We do not believe that children should spend their childhoods in therapy, or that they need to change who they are in order to thrive.

Our Support Areas
Motor Skills
OT helps your child develop essential motor skills by focusing on improving both fine and gross motor abilities. From strengthening hand muscles for better handwriting to enhancing coordination for activities like jumping and running.
Emotional Regulation
Children often struggle with managing big emotions, but OT provides tools and strategies to help them better recognize, understand, and regulate their emotions.
Self-Care Skills
OT can support your child in becoming more independent in self-care routines like dressing, feeding, grooming, and toileting.
Sensory Processing
Children process sensory information in different ways, and OT can help your child make sense of what they experience in their environment.
Play
Play is a crucial way children learn, and OT helps facilitate play skills that enhance both social interactions and cognitive development.
School Readiness
OT prepares children for school by developing foundational skills like attention, organization, and task completion. We can also support with DIP - see School Services.

Our Process
How Growing will support you
1.
Initial Parent Only Consultation
In our first appointment, we will meet and chat about how Growing can support you and your child. This looks like conducting a thorough assessment, and evaluate your child's strengths and areas of support. We will identify some goals for therapy.
2.
Goal Setting and Therapy Plan
We will then create a therapy plan, based on the goals identified in the first appointment. It is a personalised plan of how we will work together, and takes into consideration your child's level of support needs.
3.
Block of Therapy Sessions
We complete therapy in a block of 10 sessions, and will then review your child's progress. Therapy sessions will also include any strategies and suggestions to support both you and your child to meet your goals. Upon completion of the therapy block, we will review their progress and we will then say goodbye if they have reached their goals!
